Gunther von Hagens is a professor of pathology & anatomy who
invented and uses a plastination technique to preserve human tissue
and complete corpses to exhibit them as works of medical art.
His exhibitions have raised eybrows across the world and are an
extravagant bridge between medical science and experimental art.
The Bodworlds-pages are packed with information on his projects
(among them a dvd called anatomy for beginners, a series of anatomical
lessons by him and british pathologist J. Lee), information about the
plastination technique and off course pictures of the preserved bodies
and bodyparts, beautiful as well as disturbing sometimes, see for yourselves !!
